PROCESS: William Powhida's “Surviving the Art World Using the Art of Sorcery?”

Described as a “gadfly in the art establishment” by the New York Times, an “irresistible double-dipper and ingenious double-crosser” by the Los Angeles Times and a “stupid twerp” by the editor of Artnet Online Magazine, Powhida is a mercurial personality who has been investigating new ways to survive the volatile and Janus-faced art world. His latest path of query has led him to the dark art of sorcery. His talk at Hyperallergic HQ promises to reveal some of the inner-workings of his mind and we?re all excited (and scared) to see what he has in store for us. (Production note: The low volume improves after the first 3 minutes. ) This event is part of a series of PROCESS TALKS at Hyperallergic HQ that invites people associated in some form with the art world to discuss an idea, project, or endeavor that they are currently working on but hasn't been completed. This series encourages experimentation.
