There are good movies, bad movies, and movies that fit in between. Welcome to Good Bad Flicks. Primarily, I talk about movies I feel don't deserve their negative reputation, but I also focus on rare movies, cult classics, and my own personal favorites. I often discuss what goes on behind the scenes, promotional materials, and anything else I have on the films. I have a very dry sense of humor, and it often makes its way into the videos.
Full description and show creditsTo change things up a bit I went with a more recent film. Wrong Turn is a 2003 flick about crazed inbred mountain men hunting people unfortunate enough to be lost in their neck of the woods. Give it time, FOX will make a reality show about it. Oh wait, that was the sequel.
I begin the exploration into Ozploitation with the 1982 classic Turkey Shoot. There are so many greats in the genre it took me a while to decide which one to do first. Turkey Shoot is a very sadistic and yet entertaining movie set in the dystopian future of 1995.
Growing up with Godzilla, Gamera, and Ultraman, I've always had a soft spot for movies with monsters in rubber outfits. The Guyver is a silly but fun throwback to those old Japanese monster movies. The creature effects in this are a step up from the movies of old and they look great even though at times they are noticeably flimsy.
Hands down one of the definitive slashers of the 80s, Friday the 13th part VII never gets old. If more slashers would have taken risks like this one did the genre wouldn't have gone stale in the 90s.
I can't believe it took me this long to do this movie. A fun sci-fi flick that I've seen easily over a dozen times. Giant robots fighting in a post apocalyptic warzone. Great entertainment.
This episode is about the classic 1988 remake of the Blob. With a great cast, great writing, and great directing this film is, well, great. The blob effects still hold up to this day and the movie really deserves to be known as one of the best remakes of it's time.
