About the Scottrade® Fantasy Portfolio Challenge
The Scottrade® Fantasy Portfolio Challenge is a virtual trading competition where Scottrade clients may compete against each other for various prizes. The Challenge lasts three months beginning July 6, 2012 and lasting until October 1, 2012. During this three month competition players will have the opportunity to participate in two separate competitions with the added bonus of a non-competitive portfolio.
The challenge will be divided into the following two categories:

Equities: Players will be given an initial cash balance of $25,000 to participate in a virtual equity only competition.

Options: Players will be given an initial cash balance of $25,000 to participate in a virtual options only competition.
In addition to this, players will be given a cash balance of $100,000 to participate in a virtual non-competitive practice portfolio.
These virtual trading simulations are very similar to the actual trading pages of the Scottrade® Trading Website. Clients are encouraged to use these simulations to familiarize themselves with the trading tools and try new strategies while competing. These simulations will be delayed quotes and players will have the opportunity to trade a variety of more than 7,000 stocks and CBOE options. Trading will be available during market hours and market orders will be accepted during after-hours trading.
