On Thursday, President Donald Trump went after MSNBC show “Morning Joe” and its hosts, former Congressman Joe Scarborough and commentator Mika Brzezinski.

Trump wrote on Twitter that Scarborough is "Psycho Joe," while Brzezinski is "low-I.Q., Crazy Mika."

He also took a shot at Brzezinski over a supposed face-lift.

On "Outnumbered" today, Meghan McCain joined the ranks of people who have criticized Trump's remarks, calling them "beneath the dignity of the White House."

She acknowledged that "Morning Joe" has often gone after the president, and she herself is certainly no fan of the MSNBC program.

She said, however, that men should avoid talking about women and cosmetic surgery in general, particularly if they hold public office.

"I do believe this is beneath the dignity of the White House and the presidency," McCain said, adding that there are so many more important issues we should be focusing on, like health care, North Korea and the economy.

She said that comments like these could hurt the Republican Party's ability to attract the next generation of young women.

"I don't want to be seen as a party that somehow isn't respectful toward women," McCain said. "And when you send tweets out like that, I don't like it."

"For me personally, it makes my job talking to millennial women about politics - specifically about why they should become conservative - much more difficult."
