Fox News media analyst Howard Kurtz said Thursday a CBS News report on White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders planning her departure was "weirdly speculative."
Fox News has learned that Sanders and Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah are weighing future options, which may or may not include their departures from the White House, but Sanders fired back at CBS on Twitter for reporting she was "heading for the exit."
Does @CBSNews know something I don’t about my plans and my future? I was at my daughter’s year-end Kindergarten event and they ran a story about my “plans to leave the WH” without even talking to me. I love my job and am honored to work for @POTUS

“To say that Sarah Huckabee Sanders has been talking about leaving at the end of the year hardly means that it’s set in stone. It would hardly be unusual for someone in such a high stress job and who has three young kids to depart after two years in office," Kurtz said on "America's Newsroom."

He said he couldn't imagine a media outlet speculating about a White House aide possibly leaving their post in six months with any other administration.
"Only in the media soap opera that is 'Trump World' would that be considered news," Kurtz said. "Six months is a long time. The president could ask her to stay on, she could always change her mind, if indeed this has any substance here at all."
He said Sanders may be weighing her future options, but he doesn't see any evidence to back up the CBS story.
