DAY TWENTY-SIX -- One game on tap tonight in L.A as the Suns look to close out their series against the Clippers in six to be the first team in these playoffs to advance to the Western Conference Finals
Suns at Clippers, 10:00 PM, ESPN
Winner: Suns
Thoughts: Once again, I go against my series predictions for the second round by picking Phoenix to close out tonight. It simply seems undeniable to me. The Suns are hitting on all cylinders; Marion is back to playing like Marion, Tim Thomas and Raja Bell have both been phenomenal in this series, and Nash is still Nash. I'm not saying Phoenix will have an easy go at it tonight, but their range of options on the offensive end makes me believe they'll outlast the Clippers.
Outlast may seem like an odd word to use until you realize three of the five starters for Los Angeles -- Brand, Cassell, and Mobley -- all played 50 minutes in Tuesday's double over-time loss. The Clipps will keep it close through about three and a half quarters, because they're a good team, but down the stretch I expect the Suns will just have more gas to go on. Phoenix advances to the Western Conference Finals.
