Investor Tools
Stock, ETF and mutual fund screeners allow you to determine criteria that match your investment interests and search for investment opportunities that fit your personal strategy. To access one of the screeners, go to the Quotes & Research tab of your account and choose Screeners from the Investor Tools heading in the left navigation menu.
The Stocks, Exchange-Traded Funds and Mutual Funds tabs at the top of the page allow you to navigate between the different types of screeners. For all screeners, you can select the criteria by which you want to search using the choices provided in the Add & Remove Criteria section along the left column.
For stocks, you can screen from the following:
- Market Segment - Search by sector, index or exchange components, international investing opportunities or market cap.
- Fundamentals - Apply fundamental indicators to your screen and use fundamental analysis to measure stocks.
- Price Performance - Choose from a variety of price screeners including the 52-week high and low, a price-to-S&P 500 comparison and a Reuters Ratings.
- Earnings and Dividends - Look for stocks with the performance yield that matches your investment portfolio.
- Technicals - Apply technical indicators to your screen and use technical analysis to measure stocks.
For ETFs, you can screen from the following:
- ETF Basics - Choose to screen by asset type, classification or fund family.
- Performance - Screen funds based on performance over the last month through the last ten years.
- Fundamentals- Apply fundamental indicators to your screen and use fundamental analysis to measure stocks.
- Lipper Leaders - Screen funds for total return, consistent return, preservation, tax efficiency or expense.
- Technicals- Apply technical indicators to your screen and use technical analysis to measure stocks.
For mutual funds, you can screen from the following:
- Mutual Fund Basics - Choose to screen by load type, availability, fees, asset type, classification or fund family.
Each criterion added to your screen will apply an additional filter to your results. For example, if you screen stocks first for price performance and then for fundamentals, the results number to the right of price performance will reflect all stocks matching your price performance criteria only. The number to the right of fundamentals will reflect stocks matching your criteria in both price performance and fundamentals. Apply additional criteria to narrow your search further.
To remove criteria from your filtered results on the main screen, uncheck the box(es) next to the criteria you want to remove.
To remove criteria from a screen entirely, go to the Add & Remove Criteria section along the left column of your page and uncheck the criteria you want to remove.
To save the criteria you selected for a future screen, click the Save This Screen button. Click the Make This My Default Screen button to use the criteria you have currently selected as your default screener settings.
Saved screens will be stored underneath the screener criterion in the left column. Predefined screens designed to help you search for specific qualities are also located in the left column.
