kateydidnt 10/5/08 . chapter 4
"Although afraid, he knew with a certainty that Saruman’s voice had no power over him." heh I was right
kateydidnt 10/5/08 . chapter 3
you know, as powerful as Saruman's voice is, I doubt it is presently anywhere NEAR as powerful as the voice of the Ring was in Frodo and the Ring didn't manage to fully overwhelm him for 17 YEARS. I honestly don't think that Saruman will have much sway with Frodo.

Wow! What a great tale! I just read it in one go! It's marvelous and had me spell-bound from beginning till end!

Great work! A definite favourite!

That story was very well writen! I admire all of the poetic described events and how well the characters went through some other unexpected, and adventurous, events. i enjoyed reading the story, beginning to end.

HERO PIP! OH, hooray for hero Pip!

Nice touch, having the twin bond like that between Elladan and Elrohir. I imagine after so many centuries of being twins they would really have a strong bond.

And that NASTY Saruman! I don't know whether to shiver with dread and creepiness or with rage at him! Very good depiction of his utter disregard for any other living being.

Moving on to the next chapter... *distracts herself while waiting for the next chapter of The Three Towers*

*stares dumbly* Wow. That was one of your best fanfics on the list. (of course, I haven't been able to decide which one is the best, they're all so good...) Wow. I've almost read all of your fanfics now. Only two left. At least they're long ones. Anyways, I loveses it, precious. *gollum* *gollum* No, I'm not gollum-ly obsessed, I just love your stories.

BookHobbit 7/31/04 . chapter 11
This fic is so very different from what you usually write, yet it still has your unigue 'style', if you will. I love how it goes full circle, ending with our hobbits a little wiser but mostly the same. I also positively adored Pippin's list - Tooks! Now that you mention it, all of those things do sound rather intriguing. ;-) One of the things I enjoy most about your writing is how you connect parts of the book separated by many chapters yet are similar - like the hobbits' 'intuitive' abilities, or the comparison of Saruman's voice to that of the Ring or a dragon. I really liked Frodo being able to sense the thoughts of the bearers of the Three - and how he was able to resist Saruman because of his experience with the Ring. Oh, and I was delighted by Celeborn's stories and Elrond's attempts to halt him from reciting them. Positively wonderful story, all in all.

This story is just full of delights: the elf-hobbit dynamic, the difficult patients, Elladan and Elrohir, tween problems, and memories of elf courtship, to name a few. I love it.
Baylor 7/5/04 . chapter 11
In a story about hobbits, I find delight in the wonderful insights into elves: Celeborn, Elladan and Elrond all had new angles and new life breathed into them in this story. Thank you for continuing to share your hobbits (and elves and wizards and all free people) with the rest of us!
Baylor 7/5/04 . chapter 10
The section about Merry perhaps having hidden abilities as well - I loved this, and find it fascinating. It makes me want to watch for more signs of this when I read the books again!
Coriandra 7/2/04 . chapter 11
I just re-read the last part of the story. I enjoyed it very much, even though I'm late with my reviews.

The image of Frodo reaching out to Merry using Gandalf's ring was interesting. I never would have thought of that. It was even more interesting with Merry thinking he was trapped in Saruman's ring. Frodo's reference to Merry's snake was both touching and amusing. I was quite amused too, by Celeborn reminding Gandalf what a difficult patient he was in Lothlorien. I found it hard at first to imagine Gandalf needing to be healed, but I suppose in his human form he was vulnerable too.

It was a bit disturbing to me, to see them free Saruman and Wormtongue knowing how dangerous they still were, but of course that was resolved in the book. I was glad to see everyone recovering in chapter 11, although it's too bad the story has to end. Oh well, I know you have others. This was wonderful, thank you.
