I can see where your criticism of Bioshock Infinite is coming from. In many ways, it's very different from the original and it does feel like a more traditional game. in terms of exposition, I do think the game does a really good job. it makes sense, in my opinion, that during the first hour of the game you don't really know what's going on and your character's motivations aren't entirely clear; in a way that's part of the experience. everything starts to make more sense as you keep playing the game and listen to the audio logs. Again, I understand that not everyone is willing to listen to those, but that's a big part of the game. For that reason, you do have to be invested in the game world to enjoy it and to make sense of it all, but that's how it is with most games.
