Dragon's Crown Cancellation Rumors May Have Been Premature

Written by: Rocco DeMaro | March 29, 2012 at 5:30PM

There would seem to be some confusion regarding the status of Vanillaware's action-RPG, Dragon's Crown.

Yesterday saw the game's listing get yanked from Amazon.com and Gameinformer reports that "numerous" customers had their pre-orders cancelled.

In combination, these factors had some speculating that the latest incarnation of the Princess Crown /  Odin Sphere / Muramasa style might've gotten the axe.

But Vanillaware illustrator Shigatake took to twitter and shot down that speculation, writing "I personally can't say much, but I'll just say, Regarding Dragons Crown, although there are lots of rumors and conjecture, it's still in development. Please wait patiently for an official update."

Dragon's Crown was originally announced at E3 2011 as a spring 2012 release, but news on the PS3 / Vita title has been hard to come by in the recent months.

Stay tuned.
