Roger Federer won his fifth straight Wimbledon.

23rd seed Venus Williams has won her 4th Wimbledon crown. After being out of sorts all year she again showed her love for this tournament with an outstanding 2 weeks. She defeated 18th seed Marion Bartoli 6-4 6-1 in the final.

It really disappointed me today when, on the second most important day of the world's most important tennis tournament, I realized that the Slate.com Wimbledon live blog had not been updated since June 28 (that's nearly a week and a half ago).

18th seed Marion Bartoli has caused a major upset in the semi finals at Wimbledon. She has defeated the top seed and tournament favourite, Justine Henin in 3 sets, 1-6 7-5 6-1 to make her first major final.

6th seed Ana Ivanovic has made it through to her first Wimbledon semi final. She defeated 14th seed Nicole Vaidisova 4-6 6-2 7-5. Ivanovic was beaten in the French Open final and is gunning for her first grand slam title.

23rd seed Venus Williams hasdished out a tennis lesson to 2nd seed Maria Sharapova in the 4th round at Wimbledon. Venus was in outstanding form as she thrashed Sharapova 6-1 6-3.

14th seed Nicole Vaidisova has stunned defending champion Amelie Mauresmo in the 4th round of wimbledon. The 18 year old defeated Mauresmo in 3 sets. After a tight first 2 sets, Vaidisova ran away with the 3rd to win 7-6 4-6 6-1.

WIMBLEDON, England (AP) -- Defending champion Amelie Mauresmo lost in the fourth round at Wimbledon on Tuesday, struggling with her serve throughout and falling to Nicole Vaidisova 7-6 (6), 4-6, 6-1 in a match interrupted by rain three times.

The first 3 quarter finalists have been found at Wimbledon after another rain interrupted days play. Leading the way is top seed Justine Henin who won her 4th round match 6-2 6-2 over 15th seed Patty Schnyder.

Jelena Jankovic and Lucie Safarova earned a standing ovation from the crowd after completing the finest women's match of the 2007 Championships so far. It was an exhausting three-set marathon of just over two and a half hours, won by third seed Jankovic 5-7, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2.
