Last week Scottrade was named a J.D. Power and Associates’ 2012 Customer Service Champion – one of only 50 industry-agnostic businesses selected in the country. I am so grateful to be a part Scottrade’s 32-year legacy of fairness and putting clients first. Scottrade simply has a different way of doing things.
For more than three decades, Scottrade has held the unwavering belief that low commissions coupled with exceptional customer service would result in success. As a private company, we can make decisions based on what’s right for our clients, not shareholders. This vision set forth by founder Rodger Riney permeates throughout the company’s corporate strategies and client-centric culture lived out by our 3,600 associates across the country.
Even as the Internet began to be widely used commercially in the 1990s, Scottrade continued to grow its branch network to more than 500 branch offices nationwide. At the same time, Scottrade hasn’t budged from its trademark $7 online stock trades, with no account maintenance or inactivity fees. It is this combination of clicks and bricks, and the variety of education, resources and tools available online and in person, that provides exceptional levels of service to people who want to make their own investment decisions and enjoy doing so.
The founding principle of providing clients with the best value and service in the industry remains at the core of Scottrade’s success. This is the Scottrade way.
Have you benefitted from the Scottrade way of doing things?
Hi David,
We are happy to hear that you have been with us for nearly 12 years and since then have really enjoyed investing on your own. Feedback like this is always great to hear. And, you are correct, investing on your own does take a little research. That is why we offer so many educational resources like our Knowledge Center to help do-it-yourself investors, like you. You may want to check them out if you have not done so already.
Thank you for commenting and sharing your compliment on our blog.
Best,
Suzanne

What attracted me to Scottrade was the commission on trading stocks compared to other brokers. When I open an account with Scottrade in October 2003, I have more then doubled its value. Never have I took a hit like most on the market. In fact I have only lost a few hundred only in a few instances. People are afraid of investing on their own but with a little research, and a consecutive approach to investing, I found out that anyone can do it. Thank you and Scottrade for offering your service to us.
