It’s the end of the year, and if you are like me, you are trying to juggle buying gifts, attending holiday celebrations and squeezing in those last few vacation days. It also means that keeping up with my sports teams, news and my other favorite websites are the last things on my mind.
I have some good news for you (and me).
We have made it easy to keep regularly updated on what’s happening on your favorite websites through the addition of Really Simple Syndication (RSS) to Scottrader® Streaming Quotes.
What is RSS?
It is used to keep track of updates from your favorite websites. You may recognize RSS as the orange square that looks similar to a wireless symbol—anything that has this symbol is something that you can subscribe to.
Typically you subscribe to RSS feeds through a Web-based or desktop reader, but you don’t have to find a reader with Scottrader® Streaming Quotes. Now you can simply add up to 200 of your favorite RSS feeds into your customizable RSS reader in Scottrader.
When you login to Scottrader® Streaming Quotes, the default RSS view will include feeds from:
-Scottrade Blog
-Scottrade Twitter
-Scottrade News Releases

Other updates to Scottrader® Streaming Quotes include:
•View Exchange Quotes in Real Time – Exchange View is a new tool that allows you to view the bid and ask prices for each exchange a security trades on. Within Exchange View, you can monitor the top of book between different exchanges.
•Hide Toolbars – To view more raw market data on your screen and eliminate extra space, hide the toolbars of any window throughout Scottrader.
•See Watchlists Auto-Rotate – A new cycling feature will automatically rotate the symbols currently displayed in your Stock List windows. You can customize how often the cycle rotates, ranging from every 15 seconds to every five minutes. You must activate the Linker Tool function to use the Auto Rotation.
