Blog System is Go is about Indie comics, Sci-Fi/Fantasy novels, and digital reading/interactivity. We love other stuff too, of course--DC/Marvel, Star Wars, video games, collecting. Tune in & join the fun!
Full description and show creditsAG and I continue our journey into indie comics with Nonplayer and Butcher Baker from Image, Irredeemable from Boom! Studios, and... okay, Generation Lost is from DC Comics, but hang with us and find out what makes it worth talking about. We also get into Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher novels, so hang with us to the end!

This week I take a look at a couple of indie comics. Insurrection V3.6 is a Sci-Fi comic that takes place 1000 years in our future, while Abyss: Family issues is the second mini-series in the humorous superhero tale.
If you're a fan of Tron and haven't seen Disney's Second Screen, you need to check it out. Some seriously cool behind-the-scenes stuff--and it comes with the Blu-ray. For comics, I checked out Harlan Ellison's Phoenix Without Ashes, a Sci-Fi tale that hails back to the '70s Starlost TV Show and deserves some modern recognition. Also in this episode: a quick look at Image's Nonplayer #1 by Nate Simpson, and comiXology releases a kid-friendly comics app: Comics 4 Kids.
My friend Joey and I discuss A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin and the upcoming HBO adaptation. Well, I say discuss--mainly I just try to keep his enthusiasm contained. Then we move on to Eve, a spacefaring MMO that stands apart from other online multiplayers. If you're tired of World of Worldcraft's gathering quests, you should check it out.
Okay, maybe not ALL about Atomic Robo. First, T.J. and AG talk about Chew coming to Showtime and the recent Starbucks announcement about Marvel Comics. THEN it's all about Red 5 Comics' Atomic Robo, an action/science/humor comic you've gotta check out.
