Founded in 2009 by Ray Kurzweil and Peter Diamandis, Singularity University is a start-up university in Silicon Valley. SU's mission is "...to assemble, educate and inspire a cadre of leaders who strive to understand and facilitate the development of exponentially advancing technologies to address humanity's challenges." Singularity University is not your father's college. In August of 2011, Reason.tv's Paul Feine and Alex Manning traveled to Singularity University to get to know a few of the 80 students who participated in SU's 10-week interdisciplinary summer graduate program.
