To ensure accurate visitor pathing and commerce data, applications
must send visitor data in the order it was received.
The SiteCatalyst Data Processing Engine closes a visit after 30 minutes
without receiving data.
When simulating previously recorded traffic, Adobe recommends that data
insertions mimic the time delays between visitor events on the site. For
example, if the application records page views for a given visitor 2, 4, and 5
seconds apart, send those page views to SiteCatalyst using the same cadence.
If the application cannot mimic the original event timing, Adobe
recommends sending sequential data insertions 3 seconds apart, per visitor, to
help avoid out-of-order data processing.
