Welcome to the beta launch of the Omniture Developer Connection. We’re glad you found us, and we hope you find this portal informative and helpful as you build your own applications leveraging the Omniture Web Services APIs. We realize that you, our community of developers, are the ones who push the product in interesting new directions and we aim to make membership in this community as rewarding as possible. We encourage you to provide feedback via the Forum. We’ll be watching closely and participating.  

 The goals of the Developer Connection are to: 

 ·        Serve as a one-stop shop for documentation on Omniture Web Services APIs.

·         Provide sample code you can leverage to provide a head start in developing your own applications.

·         Foster a community where you can offer ideas, ask questions, and share solutions.

 As you will learn from the documentation, the Omniture Web Services APIs come in several flavors:

 ·         Administration Web Services:  Administer your Omniture Suite environment. Create users and manage permissions. Manage report suite settings and company settings. 

·         Reporting Web Services:  Retrieve SiteCatalyst data programmatically for use in your own applications.

·         Data insertion Web Services: Upload data to Omniture as an alternative to JavaScript implementations.

·         Data Warehouse Web Services:  Schedule Data Warehouse Requests programmatically.

·         Discover OnDemand Web Services: Retrieve Discover OnDemand-based data programmatically 

The Omniture Web Services APIs give you the power and flexibility to use your web analytics data in new ways.  Build dashboards or widgets. Pump data into your enterprise data warehouse or business intelligence infrastructure. Administer the Omniture Suite in your own unique way.  Be creative and share!
