How to install Facebook template

1. You should create the APP.
2. Go to https://developers.facebook.com/apps page and click on the “Create New APP” button on the top right corner.
3. Type in your App Name and click to agree to the Facebook Terms.

4. Go through the Security Check
5. After that you will be redirected to the APP settings page.

6. You can now upload files to the server. You should upload the content of “facebook_site” folder. In this example, we are uploading the template files to the “myFBsite” folder on the server.
7. Click on the Web tab and specify your Site URL and the Domain name.

8. Save the changes.
9. Click on the On Facebook tab. There, you should specify the Canvas Page, Canvas URL and Secure Canvas URL (if that is required by your hosting provider)

   Apps on Facebook.com are loaded into a Canvas Page. A Canvas Page is quite literally a blank canvas within Facebook on which to run your app. You populate the Canvas Page by providing a Canvas URL that contains the HTML, JavaScript and CSS that make up your app. When a user requests the Canvas Page, we load the Canvas URL within an iframe on that page. This results in your app being displayed within the standard Facebook chrome.

10. Save the changes.
11. You can now View App Profile Page. Click on that option on the right hand column.
12. Once you are back on your page, click on the Add To Page option on your right hand column and select the App from the list.

13. You can also edit your Wall settings and add the App to the default landing tab.

NOTE: if you get the following error: The requested method POST is not allowed facebook app. You should rename “index.html” file to “index.php” on the server and in the Tab URL settings.
