Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Tom Homan ripped politicians and the media for "intentionally misleading the American people."
Tucker Carlson asked Homan about Bush-era CIA Director Michael Hayden likening the separation of children at the Mexican border to Auschwitz -- the World War II concentration camp in Nazi-occupied Poland.

"It's an insult to the brave men and women of the Border Patrol and ICE to call the[m] Nazis," Homan said.

"I wish there was this much outrage when we met with Angel Mothers whose children were killed [by] illegal aliens," he added. "[They're] separated from their families forever."
Homan said he was "incensed" by what he saw as histrionics from Trump opponents.
He said immigration court judges have ruled most asylum claims have been "frivolous."
"These parents are using children as pawns," he said, adding that the asylum seekers could easily come legally through a formal port of entry and therefore not have transiting minors be separated.
"You have to put the blame on the parents," he said.
