Are you taking full advantage of ScottradeELITE? In the stock market where every second counts, using ScottradeELITE to its full potential can mean the difference between completing a successful trade and missing out on an opportunity.
To help you learn about ScottradeELITE and the markets in general, Scottrade provides many different educational opportunities both online and in person. Everything from User Summits and the online community to webcasts and tutorials - Scottrade wants to help educate you so you can make the best trading decisions.
User Summits
User Summits are educational events held on a Saturday at a local hotel. We usually have two sessions: a morning session about the trading Web site and an afternoon session about ScottradeELITE. A special guest speaker (usually Kevin Dodson, Director of Online Trading Platforms) walks through all the features and functionality of ScottradeELITE and shows you how you can use these tools to help you make the best trading decisions. We just hosted a User Summit in Chicago on September 13th. Next, we will be in Atlanta on October 18th and then Houston on November 15th. If you are interested in attending either of these events, contact your local Scottrade branch office.
Online Community
The Scottrade Online Community is a place for our customers to come together and learn from each other. You can discuss ScottradeELITE, trading strategies, or find out how others are reacting to recent market events. No matter if you are a new investor or an experienced one, we would love to have you participate in the community. Check out the Online Community at http://community.scottrade.com.
Webcasts
Sometimes watching someone explain how to use a window is easier than reading written help. Therefore, we are building a growing library of educational videos that explain different features on ScottradeELITE. We have videos about everything from using the new backtesting tool to the Linker Feature to NASDAQ Velocity & Forces. If you have a question about a certain window, there is a good chance we have a video about it. You can access the videos from the Help link at the top of your ScottradeELITE window. In addition, the videos are available on Scottrade.com under the Webcast link, and on iTunes.
Branch Seminars
This is an exciting educational opportunity we are currently working on. Beginning later this year, many Scottrade branches around the country will begin offering small seminars at the branch. If learning in a small group is best for you, you will find these seminars extremely beneficial. Each branch will host a variety of seminars on topics from how to use ScottradeELITE to the basics of Options. Keep your eye out for these starting at the end of this year - because a seminar will be held near you.
Scottrade is committed to helping you make the best investment decisions for your trading strategy, and we believe an educated investor is a successful investor. If there are any topics that you would like to see added to our education, please e-mail elitenewsletter@scottrade.com and let us know.
