Bluepill: Dunno, SW is fine, but HR was really boring. Did not finish it.
I don't know how it can be boring when there is action all the time.
Not everyone is as much into non-stop action as you are. Constantly, mindlessly shooting shit, to me it doesn't get much more boring than that.
Also, stating that Deus Ex:HR has action all the time is a blatant lie. It is a stealth hybrid after all. Not surprised since it did come from Biased-Cell after all.

He means Hard Reset, not Deus Ex Human Revolution.

I am fine with action all the time. Its just that Hard Reset was.. well it did not have any gamebreaking flaws, but it certainly could not immerse me in the game world.

I should give it another try, I guess.
I think the game really come into its own mid/late game, when you've unlocked some more weapon mods. Constantly switching between the mods to stun, lay traps, etc. is really neat.
The shooting in Rise of the Tomb raider feels very clunky much like the last game Still no proper cover system either. First impressions overall are a little disappointing. It feels as if they tried to copy uncharted 2 and failed at it.

*sigh* You are supposed to look at her hair. Not the shooting.
Overall I like the game, but combat is weird. She enters in stealth mode automatically when enemies are nearby, but not always. Or sometimes enemies simply charge at me, even if I killed someone with a bow from a cover and nobody was looking directly at my targets or my position.
And is it just me or diving does not work with keyboard? With a controller she dives underwater automatically.

I haven't gotten to the combat yet but so far the game looks great, except for

That said, I have no reason to believe I wont enjoy this game. I enjoyed the last one enough to play through it more than once.
Soo...I got married and have just got back from Bali, such an incredible and beautiful place to go to, so many friendly people there too.
Currently recovering from a touch of jet lag unfortunately. Played a bit of The Witness which was probably the wrong game to play in my current state but still enjoyable until some of the puzzles became a but much.
Have also put about an hour into Rise of the Tomb Raider which being honest looks incredible in spots, some really great cut-scene animation and models especially, really pushing hardware as well (and justifiably so) which is a nice change....I can only manage all high settings while keeping reasonable framerates but even then I am super impressed.

I wouldn't really call the spoiler in here a "spoiler" just because the first game had tons of moments where risk and pain of death was prominently featured in both advertising and in reviews.
But I definitely agree, with any luck there'll be better pacing in how they implement danger and near death scenarios and have that tie into the fact that lara has been progressively getting better at being an adventurer
