MMORPG HullBreach Uncloaked coming exclusively to Wii U (very early in development)

http://nintendoenthusiast.com/article/time-uncloak-hullbreach-uncloaked-eve-online-inspired-wii-u-space-epic/

"Hullbreach Studios has long been a provider of innovative games and creation tools on Nintendo hardware. Hullbreach Online was their seminal MMORPG on the Wii and DS, provided free of cost to the Nintendo community at large. A massive community grew around Hullbreach and this inspired its creators to dream even larger - with the dream of becoming licensed Wii U developers and creating a 3D space shooter MMORPG of epic proportions. They want nothing more than to satisfy the fantasies of Wii U owners and deliver a sweeping sci-fi online game of depth, atmosphere, and exploration."

Sounds Fantastic. Certianly one to keep an eye out on. I'd be more interested in finding out how they plan to make the genre unique. I'm not even aware if this kind of genre has been made on consoles before (with exception to the Wing Commander, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica & Colony Wars series which were alot more linear by comparison).

A cheap tower defence game is set to grace the wiiu eshop too in the form of Zacisas.

It's a minimalist affair that is not too different from Starship Defence (DSiware) bearing a closer resemblance graphically to missile command. The online leader boards & endless mode should also encourage some healthy competition. For the pocket money price of $2.99, it certainly seems like it'll deliver plenty of bang for your bucks with some added hot-laser-death for good measure.

I do love a good eye-melting bullet hell shooter (particularly if it's from Treasure) & I'm sure that Bayonetta 2 will draw a healthy crowd of fans too, but I still don't understand the lack of love for UnEpic? It hits it's intended audience perfectly offering a grand Castlevania experience with strong wit & boundless charisma. The game is perfect, I'm playing it on the hardest difficulty & loving every moment with each death cruelly justified.

I can't wait to get the next game this developer throws out, he's done a grand job.

Dakko Dakko has confirmed that Scram Kitty and his Buddy On Rails will be hitting the Wii U eShop this April.

Wii U Indie Revolution - Over 120 Games Slated for the System

http://nintendoenthusiast.com/article/120-upcoming-wii-u-games-indie/

"Nintendo Enthusiast's Menashe has penned a new article listing over 120 indie games coming to the Wii U eShop. He feels this strategy of having smaller indie titles slated around Nintendo's bigger games is transforming the Wii U"

damn 120

Some of those games in the RPG/Adventure category look great.

Really like the look of Project Y2K

Mutant Mudds a highly rated indie game has sold better on the Wii U than Steam and PSV/PS3 combined

Find it in the eShop

Sounds right up my street! Nice!!!

Still need to get unepic...it looks epic.

Yeah, I'm playing it on the hardest difficulty & loving every second of it. I'm stuck on a boss that is crippling me with a spell that causes my character to commit suicide (uses a firey explosion spell on himself).

I have no means of protecting myself from that attack as my character has no items that can protect him from fire. I'll figure something out though.

Make a shit load of potions and/or use heal spell.... if I recall I beat him using haste potions and heal potions (that is up until the point he makes u spam potions haha) Also, make sure you drop your "hearthstone" as he will force you to use it midfight and you have to restart the boss.

Cheers, dude. I forgot to drop all my potions.

He's a total dick of a boss which I totally love. He's actually become one of the best boss battles I've ever fought. Kudos to the game's creator for coming up with the infuriating ideas of how he attacks you.

Damn, such a good game.

I got a bit pissed off after the last time I got my ass handed to me so I started to get back into Act Raiser, it's even better than I remembered it being!!! How does that happen!?

Oh man, I'm loving the crap out of Unepic. This game is flipping amazing!

Spin the bottle is actually so much more fun than I thought. In short doses. I can see this being one hell of a drinking game.

''Fly high in the sky and hijack other players' vehicles mid-air. A fighter hi-jacking game from the creators of No Time To Explain.''

The game makes claims to be a mishmash of Just Cause 2 meets Battlefield 4. The closing date for this Kickstarter is 18th April 2014.

Looks like a grand concept thus far & would be a fine addition to the Wii U

Another local/online multi-player game but this one is a Wii U exclusive. It's another Kickstarter project, closing date is 24th April 2014.

This one gets me excited, any RTS on any console would be good, but one on the Wii U with it's unique controller, nice

I was super psyched for this game. An action rpg platformer, with cool art? Thats pretty much right up my alley.

But the poor reviews put me off, but I shouldn't let that happen, not likes its a 60 dollar retail game.

It's a fantastic game but don't expect a deeply engrossing masterpiece.

It's pretty much a metroidvania game with a few nerdy sci-fi/gaming references. The story is pretty good too & some of the boss fights are very engaging & force strategy. There's plenty of customization & the lack-lustre graphics have a charm of their own.

I've clocked in about 30 hours on the game & loved every minute of it. It's easily well worth every penny & the latest -free- update saw some great new additions like being able to buy a miniature death star that'll trounce the harder enemies.

Nabster:
Also, is sound important to unepic? I usually play listening to podcasts or music.

Yeah, the Vita is a great choice if you have a PS4, otherwise it pales in comparison to the 3DS in terms of the volume of games, it's lack of backwards compatibility, it's terrible restrictions/costs for memory cards & the lack of portable games (by which I mean the games are not designed for portable gameplay & are more akin to console ports).

The music in UnEpic is nice, the sound effects are not essential at all though so it's ideal if you want to play your own tunes.

Hi everyone!

Some interesting news which we hope is as exciting for you as it is for us.

We've decided to cancel the Kickstarter due to a delay in the JetGetters development cycle

JetGetters is still coming out with a few month delay

You keep your money and everyone gets the tinyBundle (all 7 of tinyBuild's games 3 of which are currently released)

The full detailed post is in the Updates section

Still coming out with some month delay. All the info in the comment section (or update section if you are a backer, which I'm not)

Bioterrorist:
Earthmanbrick, you're wrong... *paraphrasing*

You're indeed correct. Thankfully I am a backer so I can reveal all the details of the update:

Hi everyone!

You keep your money and everyone gets the tinyBundle (all 7 of tinyBuild's games 3 of which are currently released)
During the Game Developers Conference (GDC) and the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX East) - We found an investor to assist tinyBuild in expanding our development and publishing efforts. Because of the time it will take in bringing our new partners up-to-speed and hiring on additional people for JetGetters we have decided to cancel the Kickstarter. The main reason for this is because we feel strongly that if we promise something, we better damn well deliver on it and with the few month delay we won't be able to deliver JetGetters this year.

We have a reputation to uphold and don't want to be lumped in with all the other kickstarters that have been delayed and or abandoned. Being up front and honest about everything is always what we strive for.

As mentioned above, JetGetters will still be coming out, but with a 2015 release date. What this means to you as backers is that you get to keep all your money and will still get to play JetGetters in the future!

We've also gone one step further and will be rewarding everyone with the tinyBundle (all 7 of tinyBuild's games, including JetGetters - part of the $51 tier). Three of them are already released (No Time To Explain, Not The Robots and SpeedRunners). The rest will be awarded as they get released. Please use this link to sign up to claim them. We'll e-mail them to you in the next couple of days as Steam keys.

Speaking of No Time To Explain, during PAX East we also made a deal with Xbox to bring a remake of it to Xbox One. We'll have more on that later.

Super excited about all of this. Thanks everyone for your support! It's not really a standard situation, and while we'd like to take your money, there's an opportunity to give back to the community after our first Kickstarter, and we'd love to take it!

Sincerely,

Team tinyBuild

Luke, Tom, Alex

Thanks for the heads up Earthmanbrick.

Fair play to tinyBuild for being upfront and honest, and of course rewarding those who did back the Kickstarter.

Any idea what this means for the future of the game in terms of platforms it will release on?

The Kickstarter for Hover: Revolt of Gamers went live.

100,000 dollars to be pledged for the Wii U version.

Another predominately WiiU Kickstarter Project that needs our help & attention:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/opposablegames/salvaged

The game is a dual screen affair that has you tactically making real-time decisions for a squad of 4 marines as they embark onto mysterious shipwrecks to acquire essential supplies & loot whilst keeping them alive from the unknown dangers on board the derelict alien vessels.

"One of the smartest tactical-action games we've seen since X-COM... the coolest tactical shooter in the galaxy" - Gamezone

"A cool multi-screen take on the tactical action genre" - Eurogamer

"Salvaged lets you be Gorman from Aliens. I bet you feel safer already" - Kotaku UK

"Salvaged is right out there towards the edge of the new" - Rock, Paper, Shotgun
