Smogon official tiering discussion of Megakhan has now begun. Hopefully that fucker gets banished to Ubers ASAP. Between it and Mega Gengar, they're probably the two worst things to ever happen to any competitive metagame in pokemon history.

Neither are half as gay as Mega mawile. Once it gets a swords dance under's its belt, or it gets baton based in with speed/attack/defense boost its pretty much unstoppable with sucker punch. Even with types that have high resistance or pokemon with high defense.

...well... yeah. That's kind of the entire point of BP teams. Which is why you don't let them set up like that. Hell, it's sucker punch. Just use Wil-O-Wisp.

Mega Mawile has absolutely nothing on Megakhan. At least Mawile has counters. Mega khan doesn't need someone to baton pass anything to it. With one power up punch (which is like Brick Break and an untauntable Swords Dance combined into one move), it can 2HKO pretty much the entire metagame. In order to play competently against Megakhan, you have to have a team built with 3 pokemon specifically made to counter specific sets (otherwise you'll lose every time she's not running the specific set you counter).

Even without boots, mega mawile is very hard to kill. I was just saying that even with a single boost, its pretty much invincible. Megakan is beatable through other priority moves like mach punch. Even pokemon such as shell smashing closters sword dancing metagross or scizors or full health drangon dancing pokemon can put Megakhan away. Most megas to my knowledge can beat megakhan such as mega scizor, pinsor, heracross Im not saying saying that megakhan is any less gay than you say, but MegaWawile is worse. The fact that it has huge power and basically a 300 attack stat from the gate, equiped with the strongest proitory move, plus resistant to everything in the game besides fire and ground, makes it almost impossible to beat. Plus the fact that Mawile is resistant to most things makes it easy to get a swords stance under its belt

Except its not. It suffers very badly from 4-moveslot-syndrom, and its only priority move is Suckerpunch, which it's heavily reliant on because of its low speed. Due to the way Suckerpunch works, this gives its threats ample time to outplay it and set up or setup entry hazards. Any sweeper with a STAB EQ or fire move can OHKO Mega Mawile.

Megakan is beatable through other priority moves like mach punch.

Name a single pokemon who can come in safely on Megakhan and kill it with Mach Punch. You can't.
Hell, name a single counter. The closest thing we've got is Sableye, and Sableye sucks and has no place in OU.

And after Pokebank, thanks to Seismic Toss and Facade, even Sableye no longer acts as a decent counter.

Metagross is 2HKO'd at best against unboosted megakhan on the switch. And because it is far slower, it won't get a chance to set up, let alone even touch Megakhan.

Dragonite is OHKO'd after stealth rock on entry, and if not, it will be killed on the second turn (after very possibly giving Megakhan +2), before it can even DD. The most that Dragonite can possibly hope to do to Megakhan is Extremespeed:

None of what you listed can even hope to counter.

Most megas to my knowledge can beat megakhan such as mega scizor, pinsor, heracross

None of those can actually do anything. Mega Scizor lacks the power to kill Megakhan before it kills it (and is 2HKO'd right off the bat if it switches in against PUP), and Pinsir and Heracross die on the turns they switch in, even against unboosted Mega Khan.

And you are factually wrong. Because Mega Mawile has counters. Mega khan does not. In order to reliably beat Megakhan, you need to build half entire team around beating her, and even that might not lead to success.

In order to beat Mega Mawile, you need Earthquake or Fire Blast. Hell, thanks to its piss-poor bulk prior to mega evolving, pretty much any special attack it doesn't resist will OHKO it. The poor thing can barely switch in on anything.

It's desperately reliant on a move that essentially begs its opponents to setup on it. IF you let it come in for free, and IF you let it setup, yes, it will crush your team, but you're dealing with a lot of difficult 'ifs' that leave it very open to being beaten itself.

There are plenty of pokemon that, given the chance to set up, will sweep entire teams. Mega Mawile is no exception.

Fire and ground are two of the most common attacking types in the game. If you don't have at least one of each on your team, you may want to reconsider your build.

You can, however, burn, sleep, weaken, and paralyze Mawile, because it's just so reliant on sucker punch.

Completely banning megas is pretty stupid. They were an interesting introduction, and the only problem is that Gamefreak got really stupid with Megakhan, Gengar, and (possibly) Lucario. The rest are fine, and can actually be healthy for the metagame. Two painfully badly designed megas (and one questionably designed) should not be an excuse to ban all of them.

Yeah it it considering they added it for that extra edge in competitive battling. I guess it's just to prevent seeing the same megas just as they are limiting it to Kalos pokedex pokemon only. Maybe not this coming PWC, but the one after we may see mega pokemon allowed after some tweaks are added.

Are there still HMs? If so, I think they should be removed or fixed in one of the following ways:
