Adult Swim has shown a love of video games in the past. And there are some crossovers that just make sense.

Like Metalocalypse and Darksiders II. Yes, Nathan Explosion will finally meet Death tomorrow. And apparently neither of them are going to be all that impressed.

Some games make you earn loot by exploring. Some make you earn loot by killing foes above your skill level.

Darksiders II wants to make you do both and also earn loot by killing even more enemies in the Arena.

Lately there's been a trend of granting players of previous games a bonus item when the new one comes out. True, it's to sell more copies of the original, but it is nice to see sticking by a franchise rewarded. And Darksiders II is the latest to offer the faithful something useful.

In the Darksiders franchise you don't play the Four Horsemen just because they're scary. Vigil Games originally intended to have four-player co-op fighting the forces of Hell in the original game. That didn't quite work out in the original or the upcoming sequel… but Vigil would like to do it someday.

One of the biggest problems facing THQ financially was the threat of delisting. Its stock had been trading below a dollar and it faced removal from the Nasdaq. Fortunately for the company its move to stop that from happening has worked. But it's not quite out of the woods yet.

Darksiders II is nearly upon us and fans seeking to be immersed in the game's gritty world will also soon have the option to pick up a two-dsic set of the game's original soundtrack. Recently the retailer GAME announced it was closing all of its stores in Australia. One problem: Darksiders II fans had pre-ordered the sequel to get the "Deadly Despair" bonus. But they're not out anything as THQ will be providing it free of charge.

After the litany of woe that is THQ's recent financial news, there's finally a ray of light for the troubled publisher.
