I have been in a love/hate relationship with the market since I began investing back in the 1970s. But, like the saying goes - if I only knew then, what I know now.
Like other investors, I have had a couple of investments where I have been left with a bad taste in my mouth, or held onto a stock too long hoping the market would bounce back. At times I thought the market or the advice I had received was to blame, but what really caused me trouble early on was my lack of investing knowledge and reacting emotionally.
Doing my own investing, I now know more thought is needed behind each trade and investment made. So I am always looking for learning opportunities to help me understand the technical analysis, along with what’s happening globally or driving the market.
I can say that I have really been taken back by the information offered through Learning Markets. It is absolutely dynamic and helps address the needs of beginning, intermediate and advanced investors. Both the Daily Market Commentary Series1 and Strategy Session1 webinars touch on just about everything, which has helped broaden my perspective; especially through the question and answer session at the end of each Live Webinar with the Learning Markets analysts. The feedback and answers I have received in some of those has really gotten me thinking. If only I had the same learning opportunities and knowledge about investing back in the 1970s as I do now.
