Chennai is the capital city of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the fourth most populous metropolitan area and the fifth most populous city in India. It's economy has a broad industrial base in the car, technology, hardware manufacturing, and health care industries. The city is India's second largest exporter of software, information technology (IT) and information-technology-enabled services (ITES). A major chunk of India's car manufacturing industry is based in and around the city. Chennai Zone contributes 39 per cent of the State's GDP. It accounts for 60 per cent of the country's automotive exports (According to Wikipedia sources). Yet, when we look inside this hugely industrialized and modernized city of India we see the basic problems of trash and the ill effects it has on the people living in that area. This video highlights a locality in Chennai that have been facing the problem of dumping in their area by the industries nearby.
