March 2011, and another double header of roller derby thrills and spills as a packed Earls Court cheers on the Ultraviolent Femmes, hoping for a win over the Suffra Jets. And the Harbour Grudges are looking for revenge as they face off against the Steam Rollers.
Season 3 Bout 4 - Feb 12th 2011Harbour Grudges 118 – 100 Ultraviolent Femmes Steam Rollers 112 – 108 Suffra Jets Bout four of Season 3 once again wowed the crowds at Earls Court. While the bouts were rematches of the season opener, the results were far from certain, and not settled in either bout until the very last jams. Two hard-fought and nail-biting bouts saw the Harbour Grudges beat the Ultraviolent Femmes by a much-decreased margin, while the Steam Rollers recovered from last bout's fina...
The Suffra Jets battled hard against the tough Harbour Grudges, staging the strong comeback that's becoming their trademark in the second half. ;It wasn't quite enough to save them this time as the Grudges emerged victorious 135 - 87 to go top of the league at the Christmas break.
Saturday 11th December saw our third bout day of the season and our final public bouts of 2010. First up, a seesaw battle between the unbeaten Steam Rollers and the winless Ultraviolent Femmes resulted in the upset of the season so far with the Femmes nicking ahead in the last jam to edge a 2 point win, 95 - 93.
