I shall start by stating that any educated person that is operating rationally has no use for faith or any of the multiple gods that have infected a large majority of the human population. If you are one such person, this article is clearly not written for you.

The number of American troops and Iraqi civilians killed in the war fell in September to levels not seen in more than a year. The U.S. military said the lower count was at least partly a result of new strategies and 30,000 additional U.S. forces deployed this year.

Yes Newsvine, I am coming to you live from Finland. The greatest observation I can make on your behalf is that Finland is predominately honky... I have provided photos to support my thesis. Other observations include:

This isn't something a lot of people want to talk about. As a matter of fact, independence is a prized virtue in our society. Sadly we don't know the difference between freedom and independence. Independence is maintaining a "non-negotiable right to me".

Periodically the Vine produces content aimed at enhancing the functionality, usability, utility, and impact of the site. The suggestions are generally tied to the technology behind the site. I would like to come at it from a different perspective.

A specter is haunting Europe - this time, it's not communism, but islamo-fascism. Over the next couple of decades, Europe's ailing native population will be forced into submission by hordes of angry Muslims, so that the old continent will effectively become a Caliphate.

Millions of lives have been lost, families broken, and kingdoms destroyed because of the way men interpret the Bible. It's sobering to consider that. This has lead most people to reject the Bible as an evil influence. The issue, as with the Quran, is interpretation.

In a sense, 9/11 changed everything for us. 9/11 forced us to think in new ways about threats to the United States, about our vulnerabilities, about who our enemies were, about what kind of military strategy we needed in order to defend ourselves. Dick Cheney

Ok, I have to confess. There is a certain group of people that I NEVER read on Newsvine. It's not because they aren't smart, articulate, or don't deserve my attention. I am simply judging them on their looks.

It has become clear, and this conclusion will support my statement, that many modern day Christians are disconnected from the message of Jesus. There is little to no incarnation of the principles.

If Newsvine rules dictated that each could only track one columnist, make mbrennan your choice. You will never regret it. He is a thought leader, keeps an open mind and has a rare ability at articulating complex concepts into language that anyone will grasp. He aims to learn from others; he succeeds in enriching lives of others!

mbrennen has helped me to more deeply look at existence. A sound mind from a different perspective is perhaps that greatest treasure the internet has to offer. Matt (as I now understand his name to be) is a crown jewel.

mbrennan you're a truly insightful and compassionate human being. Thank you!

Matt is a lone reed in a sea of wishy-washy values and hijacked ideals. It's refreshing, even enlightening, to read articles from a committed Christian who listens and thoughtfully responds. A huge asset to Newsvine, his community and his religion.

mbrennan is something as rare as a Christian intellectual. He asks questions, and he is less than dogmatic about answering them. He intends to build bridges and promote dialogue, rather than provoking and fight trench warfare. That alone makes him a rarity on the web. I may not agree with everything he has to say, but I find that keeping track of what he does on Newsvine offers some valuable insights.
