Connection Types

Most Internet connections will work with the Scottrade Trading Site. The speed of the connection will determine the time it takes to load Web site data. Slower connections, like dial-up, may take a few seconds to pull up the Web site pages, and a longer time to open statements and documents.

Secure Sites

When logging into your account, you are transferred to trading.scottrade.com, a secured site. At times, some Internet Service Providers (ISP) may have issues allowing you access to secure sites. If you are able to reach Scottrade.com, but get a page error trying to login, please try another secured Web site like your bank's Web site. If neither Scottrade.com nor the bank Web site will open, please contact your Internet Service Provider and tell them you cannot access secured Web sites.
