Wells Fargo leads USD235m loan to American Realty Capital Trust
1 days 12 hours 15 minutes ago - M2
3 July 2012 - Wells Fargo Securities LLC has acted as sole lead arranger of a USD235m (EUR186.6m) senior secured term loan to American Realty Capital Trust Inc (NASDAQ:ARCT), the US real estate firm said on Monday. Union Bank and TD Bank were documentation agents of the financing. US Bank, BB&T; (NYSE:BBT), Midfirst Bank and Raymond James (NYSE:RJF) also took part in the transaction. The facility has a five-year maturity and substitutes American Realty Capital Trust's USD200m interim term loan, which was also led by Wells Fargo Securities. The company will draw on the new term loan to pay off amounts due under its USD330m revolver and cover general working capital needs, it said. Borrowings will carry an interest rate of LIBOR plus 235 basis points. The move finalises American Realty Capital Trust's mortgage debt recapitalisation plan, the company's CFO, Brian Jones, said. The firm has managed to trim borrowing costs, improve the average duration of its long-term obligations and expand its unencumbered asset pool, the CFO added. The deal has allowed American Realty Capital Trust to beef up its liquidity, the company's CEO, William Kahane, noted. American Realty Capital Trust is headquartered in New York City.
