Preferred Securities Trading
To place a Preferred Security order:
1. Log in to your account.
2. Click the Trade tab.
3. Click CDs & Bonds.
4. Click Preferred Securities at the top of the page. You may filter based on industry or the beginning letter of the name of the company. View Graphic
5. Click the symbol to get a detailed quote.
6. Click the Trade button next to the security to place a trade. View Graphic
To cancel or modify a Preferred Security order:
1. Log in to your account.
2. Click the My Account tab at the top of the page.
3. Click Order Status on the left. On the Stocks & Options order status page you can view the order status of your preferred security orders. You may filter data by date, status or symbol using the boxes at the top of the page. View Graphic
4. Click the Modify or Cancel button next to the order to modify or cancel the order.
You may sell your bonds online or through your local Scottrade branch office. If you call your local branch office for assistance selling bonds, please be ready to provide your bond's description, size and CUSIP number.
