The Linker Tool allows you to associate windows so that when you enter a symbol in one of the linked windows, the information for the symbol will display in all linked windows simultaneously. The Linker menu looks like this:
Where Can I Find the Linker Tool?
The table below lists the locations in which the Linker tool is available on the ELITE platform. The left column lists the name of the window that offers the Linker tool and the right column lists the location where you'll find the Linker tool.

Using the Linker Tool
To link one window to another:
1. In the top right corner of any applicable window, click theLinker button.
2. On the menu that appears, click the Linker color choice you want. Choices include:
- Linker Off – Use to disable the linking operation between tools and windows.
- Linker On: Orange – Linked windows display inside an orange outline
- Linker On: Yellow – Linked windows display inside a yellow outline
- Linker On: Blue – Linked windows display inside a blue outline
- Linker On: Red – Linked windows display inside a red outline
- Linker On: Green – Linked windows display inside a green outline
To turn off the Linker tool:
1. In the top right corner of your linked window, click the Set Symbol Linking (Linker) button.
2. On the menu that appears, click Linker Off.
Note: You cannot link to windows that do not have the Linker button available in the top right corner of the window
