Getting Started

Transfer to Scottrade

To have your brokerage account transferred from another firm to Scottrade, you will need to complete the following forms:

Brokerage Account Application

Account Transfer Form

An Application is necessary only if you have not yet opened an account that corresponds to the account you wish to transfer.

Please download and complete the forms, then mail them with a copy of your most recent statement to your local Scottrade branch office. You can also scan the forms and email them to support@scottrade.com.

Alternatively, you may call 1-800-619-SAVE to request the forms.

Once we receive your completed forms we will process the transfer. Please note that an account transfer can take five to 10 days for a full transfer and up to 30 days for a partial account transfer, depending on the assets being moved and how the transfer must be exercised.

We contact you with notification once the account has been established and the transfer is in process.

Account Transfer Fees

Scottrade does not charge any fees for incoming account transfers. Please check with your current firm about any fees you may incur upon transferring out your account.
