Last Saturday night millions of UK viewers tuned in to see Leona win the third series of The X Factor, probably the most popular, and influential, talent show around at the moment.

Ah, food. My favourite subject. Christmas is probably the only time of year where it's considered essential to stuff your face full of spectacularly unhealthy food, and so I'm delighted to be taking part in the annual Porkathon at work.

Someone once said that "The Devil has all the best tunes". Despite my best efforts I could not find out who actually said that. I know that Prefab Sprout released a single of the same name and I'm fairly sure that the quote is attributed to "Rock and Roll".

In two weeks it will be Christmas Day. The 25th of December will see much of the world celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ - at least that's what it's supposed to be about anyway.

I love food. It's true what they say: the quickest way to a man's heart is through his stomach. If you want to impress me, feed me and feed me well. It doesn't need to be expensive, it doesn't need to be Gordon Ramsey standard. I just require good food to be happy.

I updated Firefox to version 2.0 yesterday and so far I'm liking it. I'm still getting used to the way that the tabs have changed, but so far I'm feeling positive about the new build. It's not hugely different, to be honest, but I think a lot of changes are under the hood.

Every single day I pour over your pages To get smarter here I love Haiku for their simplicity. Anybody can write them, good or bad. I just wrote this one in about ten seconds while wondering what to contribute to the Artsvine Guild (it probably shows!)

I'm not a fan of iTunes. There are a number of reasons for this, but these are mostly related to the fact that I own an iRiver and not an iPod so I'm effectively unable to use their store to download music.

I'm a Firefox user. I have many reasons for my browser preference but perhaps the most urgent is the Adblock extension. I despise the way that many sites thrust huge, obtrusive adverts in your face and I prefer to remove them for my own selfish reasons.

There are many fine aspects to British culture. We have a rich history littered with wonderful authors, genius composers and world-famous artists. So, I figured that I'd write a little about what makes Britain great.

The British love nothing better than commenting on the weather. It's what we do best, other than lose at football and drink beer. We have a spectacularly mediocre weather cycle - in the summer it's usually cloudy, perhaps some drizzle.

Ah, the FIFA World Cup 2006. A proper world sport, beloved by the majority of the globe and enjoyed on TV by hundreds of millions. So, what's the final verdict? The winners

Another year, another "Tiger" Tim Henman defeat at Wimbledon. Us Brits want Tim to win every year and yet we expect him to lose - this is Henman's curse.

In recent times Nottingham seems to be taking quite a few knocks. Nottinghamshire Police have been inundated with shootings, stabbings and murders and a recent report has suggested that you are more likely to be murdered here than anywhere else in the UK.

I've been a member of Newsvine since the later stages of the Beta and I'm loving it. I love the way that it displays the news and the way that you can search for it, especially the tagging.

Thank you for your comments on my Mac Mini Core Duo article!
