While Logged in to Scottrade

Within your Scottrade account there are several steps you can take to improve your security.

  • Review all forms of transaction history. Statements and confirmations are available under the My Account tab in the transaction history section. Once a year, review your credit report. The law requires the major nationwide consumer reporting agencies to give you a copy of your credit report free once a year, but you must ask for it.
  • Always log off of your Scottrade account and close your web browser when you have finished your online session.
  • Keep your email address up to date. You will see your email address in the upper right hand corner of the home tab after you log in. You can set up the delivery of trade notifications to this email address. Also, email confirmation will be sent to this address for updates made within the My Information and Preferences section.
  • Review your last login time, which is located directly above the top tabbed navigation.
  • Do not leave your computer unattended while logged in to your Scottrade account.
