Taking Your Financial Freedom

By Juliette L., Senior Social Media Specialist and Guest Blogger

When I think of the Fourth of July, I think of our military, barbecues, trips to the lake and time with my family.

The Fourth of July celebrates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, when we declared our independence as a country. And while we’re celebrating our independence as a country, I couldn’t help but think about celebrating our financial freedom. To some, “financial independence” means being empowered enough to make your own decisions – and at Scottrade, we can give you the support, value and help you feel empowered so you can experience that financial independence. Here are a few ways we help you achieve it:

  • Retirement – the ability to really relax and travel, spend time with family and take some much-deserved “me time.” Our retirement calculator can help you know how much to save for retirement and the likelihood of how long those savings will last. Our Knowledge Center is chock-full of articles and how-to information about budgeting and the basics of retirement. We also offer four types of IRAs (Traditional, Roth, SEP and SIMPLE).
  • The freedom to trade on the go with m.scottrade.com. Did you know you don’t have to go to http://trading.scottrade.com to access your Scottrade account from your Internet-enabled device? m.scottrade.com is the mobile-friendly version of our trading site, mimicking the experience from trading on your personal computer.
  • Doing your own research and making the moves when you want to. Our local Scottrade teams, online trading tools and research can help you make your own investing decisions.

What does financial freedom mean to you?

Scottrade has awesome commercials on tv, not sure how the stock trading software compares to the likes of etrade though.

with the way wall street is heading right now, is it any wonder there's a national dispondancy about the future?
