Quotes & Stock Lists in Scottrader

Manage Lists

Your stock lists are designed to help you track market changes for securities you want to follow. To create a new list, edit an existing list or delete one of your lists using Scottrader Streaming Quotes, click the Manage Lists button in the Quote Grid window.

You can include as many symbols as you want on your Scottrader lists but each list will be divided into sections of 40 symbols. If, for example, you create a list with 95 symbols and title it New List, Scottrader will automatically separate the list into three sections as follows: New List 1 containing the first 40 symbols entered, New List 2 containing the second 40 symbols entered and New List 3 containing the remaining 15 symbols. The Scottrader Quote Grid can only show 40 symbols at a time, but the Active Ticker and all linked windows will display all 95 symbols.

Import Lists from the Trading Website or an Older Version of Scottrader

You can import any list created on the trading website or an older version of Scottrader to Scottrader Streaming Quotes. Importing lists allows you to view your stock lists from multiple platforms without having to spend time creating duplicates. To import a stock list to Scottrader, follow the steps listed below:

1. From Scottrader Streaming Quotes, click the Manage Lists button.

2. Select the Import Lists tab at the top of the Manage Lists box.

3. Using the drop-down box provided, indicate the current location of your stock list by selecting Scottrader or website. All lists created from the location you have chosen will appear.

4. Check the box(es) next to the stock list(s) you want to import into Scottrader.

5. Click Import Selected Lists

You can access your imported lists via the My Stock Lists drop-down box in the Quote Grid window.

Create a New List

1. From the Manage Lists window, click the New link to the right of the List Name drop-down box.

2. To create a list title, double-click in the List Name entry field. Choosing a descriptive title can help you distinguish between multiple stock lists.

3. Input the ticker symbols you want to follow in the entry field provided. Separate multiple symbols using commas. To add options to your stock list, select Option from the Manage Lists window, enter the underlying symbol, choose call or put, choose from the available expiration dates and select a strike price.

4. Click Add.

5. Use the navigation arrows on the right side of the Selected Symbols box to arrange the order of the symbols on your list.

6. Click Save List.

You can access your new list via the My Stock Lists drop-down box in the Quote Grid window.

Edit an Existing List

You can edit any of your existing stock lists to add or remove symbols, change the order in which symbols appear on your list or to change the title of your list at any time.

If you want to remove a single symbol from one of your stock lists, left-click and hold the symbol with your mouse and drag that symbol to the trash can icon in the bottom right corner of the Quote Grid window.

For more extensive editing, follow the steps listed below:

1. From the Manage Lists window, choose a stock list from the List Name drop-down box.

2. Input the ticker symbols you want to follow in the entry field provided. Separate multiple symbols using commas. To add options to your stock list, select Option from the Manage Lists window, enter the underlying symbol, choose call or put, choose from the available expiration dates and select a strike price.

3. Use the navigation buttons to the right of the Selected Symbols box to change the order of the symbols on your list.

4. To remove a symbol from your stock list, highlight the symbol in the Selected Symbols box and click the X button.

5. Click Save List.

You can access your updated list via the My Stock Lists drop-down box in the Quote Grid window.

Delete Lists in Scottrader

As your investing progresses, your interests may change. If you find yourself uninterested in securities that you used to watch, you can delete any of your existing stock lists by following the steps below:

1. Select the Delete List tab from the top of the Manage Lists window.

2. Choose the list you want to delete from the List Name drop-down box.

3. Click Delete List.

4. Click OK to confirm that you want to delete your list in the dialog box that appears.

The list you deleted will no longer appear as one of your stock lists.
