The iShares S&P 100 Index Fund ETF (OEF) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 2.4 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 767,000. Shares of OEF were down about 0.5% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Citigroup (C), trading up about 0.4% with over 320.7 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Bank of America (BAC), trading flat on volume of over 130.9 million shares. Lowes Companies (LOW) is the component faring the best Thursday, higher by about 2.6% on the day, while Freeport-mcmoran Copper & GO (FCX) is lagging other components of the iShares S&P 100 Index Fund ETF, trading lower by about 4.4%.
