(NYSE: AVT), today announced its selection by Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) as a high-value specialty distributor for data center products in Latin America and the Caribbean. This significantly expands upon the existing distribution relationship between Avnet and Cisco in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and North America. The Latin American and Caribbean agreement with Cisco complements Avnet's engagements in the region with Cisco ecosystem partners EMC, NetApp and VMware. It also enables Avnet to provide channel partners with complete converged infrastructure solutions for data centers.
