Statoil ASA (Statoil) is an energy company engaged in oil and gas exploration and production activities. The Company’s operations are managed through operating segments, including Development and Production Norway (DPN), Development and Production North America (DPNA), Development and Production International (DPI), Marketing, Processing and Renewable Energy (MPR) and Other. DPN segment consists of exploration, field development and operational activities on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS). DPI segment develops and produces oil and gas outside the NCS. DPNA segment develops a material in North America, including the deepwater regions of the Gulf of Mexico, unconventional oil and gas and oil sands in the United States and Canada. MPR segment markets and trades crude oil, natural gas, liquids and refined products. The Other segment includes activities within Global Strategy and Business Development, Technology, Projects and Drilling and the Corporate Staffs and Services.
