Leading Consumer Electronics Retailer Personalizes the Online Shopping Experience for their Customers
OREM, Utah — July 21, 2008 — Omniture, Inc. (NASDAQ: OMTR), a leading provider of online business optimization software, today announced that Circuit City Stores, Inc. has selected Omniture SiteCatalyst® and Omniture Test&Target;™ to test the performance across its marketing campaigns and Web site in real time—to increase the relevance of content, offers and merchandise presented to customers. As a result, the company can automatically direct consumers to the landing pages that display products relevant to their individual interests and drive increased revenue.
“We have thousands of SKUs on our site and multiple product categories, so making sure our online visitors quickly find the items they are looking for—and that the purchasing process is clear and simple—is crucial to our business,” said Brian Bradley, senior vice president - multi-channel for Circuit City. “Omniture not only allows us to understand the performance of our online merchandising strategies, checkout process and campaigns, but enables us to deliver a personalized shopping experience to each customer.”
Circuit City will use SiteCatalyst to understand the performance of their merchandising strategies, Web site navigation, and on-site search results. In addition, SiteCatalyst will help Circuit City evaluate their direct marketing channels, such as email and comparison shopping vehicles, to determine the amount of traffic and revenue each channel is generating.
Circuit City is also using Omniture Test&Target; to conduct A/B and Multivariate testing on multiple facets within their online store, from optimizing messaging and creative treatments to determining highest value page elements. Omniture Test&Target; also allows Circuit City to deliver targeted content to its customers—allowing the company to understand how their online marketing campaigns, content on their landing pages and other site features impact consumer purchasing decisions. These insights will allow the company to tailor its Web site—in real time—to meet specific visitor interests and drive higher ROI.
“Market-leading retailers like Circuit City manage thousands of products and serve millions of customers through their Web site, and engaging every customer in a personalized purchasing experience is an opportunity for major retailers to differentiate themselves,” said Chris Harrington, president, worldwide sales and client services at Omniture. “With Omniture’s online marketing suite, companies can more effectively deliver and target the optimal customer experience on their site that increases conversion and ROI.”
