DIRECTOR, PRODUCT MARKETING, DISCOVER ON PREMISE

Introduction

Responsible for product marketing, marketing strategy, messaging, positioning, sales collateral and training, analyst interactions and launch of new releases of Discover OnPremise.

Omniture Discover OnPremise™, acquired with Visual Sciences, is expanding Omniture’s addressable market opportunity and enhancing our leadership position for online business optimization. Omniture Discover OnPremise is positioned for two new markets – Data Discovery, the ability to achieve rapid business insight by correlating very large volumes of ever changing data across any customer interaction channel and business intelligence system, and as a Channel Analytics solution for Call and Retail. We plan to extend into other industries and markets in the future. This product line represents a rapidly growing portion of Omiture’s business.

Description

Principle Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer analytics market, credibility with sales teams and press, analyst and other market influencers
  • Define the go to market strategy to grow in to adjacent markets. Define Market Requirements Documents (MRD’s) and work with development to influence product priorities
  • Define marketing strategy for new releases for Discover OnPremise. Integrate online and offline campaigns to create awareness for new releases and new products.
  • Develop marketing plan and orchestrate all activities related to the launch of new products or releases
  • Develop sales collateral, deliver sales training, position products competitively in the marketplace
  • Evangelize at conferences, industry events, with industry analysts and with the blogging community
  • Conduct competitive analysis and recommend product or marketing strategies to counter effectively
  • Actively blog and present thought leadership viewpoint to the industry on Omniture’s product direction
  • Influence marketing budgets and determine optimal use of marketing resources to achieve business objectives
  • Work closely with marketing channels – AR, PR, Demand Gen, Omniture.com etc – to simplify and communicate product messages

  • Qualifications

    Experience and Education

  • 7-10 years of product marketing experience with software products in a b2b sales model
  • Strong understanding of the analytics and business intelligence market. Prior experience with customer analytics, call center analytics and CRM applications desired.
  • Industry marketing experience for retail, high tech, financial services and telcos a plus
  • Prior experience managing product marketing deliverables in a SaaS delivery model a strong plus
  • 4 year college degree in engineering, business or related fields from a top university, MBA preferred
