
Lighting E-tailer Increases Conversion Rate by 55 Percent
OREM, Utah – June 21, 2006 – Omniture, a leading provider of online business optimization software, today announced that Pegasus Associates, a provider of innovative lighting systems, significantly increased online sales and enhanced the online user experience for its customers by using Omniture SiteCatalyst®. With the insight provided by Omniture’s SiteCatalystWeb analytics solution, Pegasus increased its conversion rate by 55 percent and boosted the sales of its top selling items by 82 percent.

With SiteCatalyst, the company discovered that many of its paid search words were underperforming. Based on this analysis, Pegasus adjusted its keyword investments to focus on the top performing terms and phrases on all of its Web pages. Pegasus saw a substantial increase in organic visitors and traffic and a 55 percent boost in their conversion rate.
Omniture also helped Pegasus more effectively market its most popular products. Through SiteCatalyst, Pegasus confirmed that xenon task lights, T4 light fixtures and xenon low voltage strips were some of the top selling items. With this new insight, Pegasus featured these popular items with photos on the home page, where they gained more prominence and visibility. As a result, sales of these items increased 82 percent more than other products.
