Online Business Optimization Leader Recognized by Independent Research Firm for Historical Revenue Growth
OREM, Utah – July 25, 2006 – Omniture, Inc. (NASDAQ: OMTR), a leading provider of online business optimization software, was recently named the leading on-demand Web analytics provider by revenue in a report by IDC, an independent global research and advisory firm for the technology industry. The report highlights Omniture’s revenue growth from 2004 to 2005, stating “Omniture experienced very high growth in 2005…and is now the leading on-demand Web analytics provider by revenue.” It continues to discuss significant achievements in 2005 and 2006, including Omniture’s release of SearchCenter, its keyword bid management solution.
According to the IDC report “Worldwide Web Analytics Software Applications 2006-2010 Forecast and Analysis: 2005 Shares and Current Outlook in the Year of Integration,” #201794 (June, 2006), the Web analytics market grew by 20.7 percent in 2005 and is projected to more than double in size over the next five years. The real growth has come from the on-demand arena, and the percentage of on-demand revenue among the top vendors increased from 56.7% in 2004 to 64.9% in 2005.
“Omniture’s market-leading growth is an indication of its promise of delivering a platform of solutions that relieve the multi-system integration burdens historically shouldered by customers,” said Mary Wardley, Vice President, Enterprise Applications and CRM Software, IDC. “The company has established a great foundation to build upon in the market through its ability to identify and resolve customer pain points through innovative offerings.”
The report attributes part of Omniture’s success and revenue growth in 2005 to successful launches of new technological developments, such as the company’s keyword management solution, SearchCenter™ and the partner integration with DoubleClick’s DARTmail. IDC also highlights Omniture’s innovative business developments announced in 2006, such as the Omniture Solutions Network™—the Web analytics industry’s first partner network of certified solutions and services, and Omniture’s My Marketing Network™—an interface that easily integrates partner solutions and services to provide customers with one source to manage multiple business initiatives.
“We believe there is a direct correlation between our historical growth and our continued dedication to identifying and addressing the business challenges and opportunities of our customers,” said Josh James, CEO and co-founder of Omniture. “Our focus extends far beyond Web analytics, which we believe is the essential engine driving the online business optimization industry.”
