These clients rely on your expertise to cut thru the noise and focus on the key performance indicators critical to their business. In turn, you thrive on analysis and never tire from asking “why” and “what if”. You push clients to make the most of their best online assets. You won’t stop until your clients are raving about their web success through Omniture Best Practices.

Consultants follow the cycle of understanding, education, analysis, optimization, and innovation. Consultants develop and present projects helping clients strategically analyze data, highlight key insights and opportunities, and promote specific action to improve their online success. Our engagements vary in length from short- to long-term assignments. In most cases one consultant will service multiple engagements simultaneously. As directed by management, consultants will often provide tactical support to more senior team members on large, demanding client engagements.

Requires cultivation of exceptional consulting skills. 1-3 years experience analyzing web sites and/or online marketing activities, or comparable business activity.

Responsibilities

  • Help clients optimize their business through processes based on best practices in the use of SiteCatalyst and other Omniture tools.
  • Ensure that clients receive full satisfaction and maximum return on their investment.
  • Gather client business objectives and identify key performance indicators.
  • Design reporting frameworks that provide insight into the performance of clients' web sites and online marketing programs.
  • Apply various analytic methods to discover and interpret information from multiple data sources.
  • Based on measurement reporting and analysis, provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve business, web site and/or marketing program performance.
  • Track projects while suggestions are being implemented, and measure quantifiable impacts via A/B and/or multivariate tests.
  • Create clear observations, analysis, and conclusions for presentation to clients.
  • Maintain functional expertise in database and online marketing, analytical tools, techniques, and other infrastructure requirements.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of client web sites, business models, and online marketing strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with clients throughout the engagement, addressing important issues based on business objectives.
  • Provide articulate and persuasive interaction by phone and sometimes in person with client employees all the way up to the VP level of Fortune 500 companies.
  • Continue development of strong consulting skills and robust analytic capabilities.

Qualifications

Required

  • Passion for web analytics and use of best practices to drive clients’ online business success.
  • General understanding of web analytics and various web measurement technologies
  • 1 – 3 years experience in marketing/ customer behavior/ or financial analysis, database marketing, and/or marketing agency/consulting
  • Knowledge of integrated marketing and customer relationship management disciplines
  • Understanding of enterprise internet business models and online processes, terminology, concepts and strategies
  • Working knowledge of how the internet and web sites work
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with change and be a team player
  • Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills
  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Some travel required

Preference given for experience and aptitude in:

  • Experience in web site analysis and knowledge of best practice requirements to deliver business optimization solutions
  • Prior responsibility for web site and ecommerce results for a large web site
  • Consulting engagement with Sr. and Executive level decision makers
  • Online marketing and campaign management
  • Experience with Omniture’s SiteCatalyst or other web site traffic analytics software such as WebTrends, WebSideStory (HitBox/HBX), or CoreMetrics
  • Experience with ad serving platforms such as DoubleClick/DART
  • Email and affiliate marketing
  • Paid and natural search engine marketing
  • Ability to utilize Access, SAS or SPSS, SQL, or other database packages
  • Web development experience
  • Managing teams and or projects
  • Degree in marketing, ecommerce, or related field
  • Masters degree in business or other related advanced education
