HELPDESK TECHNICIAN
Introduction
The purpose of the IT Department is to enable employees of Omniture to better fulfill their responsibilities through the use of technology related services. The Helpdesk Technician provides technical support and training for end users.
Description
- Principle duties and responsibilities
- Think and work proactively to achieve IT department goals.
- Support Macintosh computers in a Windows Active directory environment.
- Work with Corporate IT to devise an enterprise Integration plan for Macintosh and Windows clients.
- Provide technical support to end users including application installation and hardware support.
- Troubleshoot Hardware, software and network issues.
- Maintain employee equipment, including desktops, laptops, and networked printers.
- Log and track all issues with Helpdesk ticketing system.
- Perform system upgrades and new system deployments, including assisting in migrating data and settings.
- Provide basic training of applications and systems to users.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Education
- Associates Degree or related work experience.
- 2-5 years Enterprise helpdesk/technical support experience
- Macintosh support in an Enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge/support of Apple OSX and MS Office 2004/2008.
- Strong knowledge/support of Microsoft Windows XP Pro and Office 2003/2007.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with PC and Macintosh Hardware.
- Wireless and LAN network troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person, on the phone and via e-mail.
- Must be able to perform well in stressful situations.
- Must possess Professional and positive attitude.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects effectively with limited supervision.
- Strong dedication to customer service
- Proven ability to work well under stress and time pressures
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP Pro and Office 2003.
Required/Preferred Certifications
- A+ certification – preferred
- Microsoft Certified Professional Certifications
- Apple Certified Support Professional - preferred
