IT HELP DESK ADMINISTRATOR - TOKYO, JAPAN
Introduction
Technical Support for Omniture employees and IT Systems in APAC, primarily Tokyo, Japan. These responsibilities include system, software and service support for end users and limited System Administration. Will include some travel to other regional sites for setup and client support. Also travel to US for training and coordination.
Description
Provide technical assistance to end users including application installation and hardware support.
Troubleshoot Hardware, software, telephony and network issues.
Maintain office equipment including desktops, laptops, phones and printers.
Log and track all issues with Helpdesk ticketing system.
Perform system upgrades and new system deployments, including the migration of user data and settings.
Provide basic training of applications and systems to users.
Work effectively with IT Management, IT Technical Staff and users within the corporation to identify, manage and complete project deliverables.

Provide 24 x 7 support as needed
Provides on-call support in a timely manner and carries a cell phone.
Qualifications
5+ Years experience performing Help Desk/Technical support in a Microsoft environment
Foundation degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP Pro and Office 2003.
Must possess general admin experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003
Must be able to exhibit general Active Directory administration experience
Strong Microsoft applications expertise - Microsoft Office systems and software
Ability to apply technical knowledge to perform all functions.
Must be able to exhibit general networking competency
Must be able to communicate effectively in person, on the phone and via e-mail.
Proven effective customer service techniques and communication.
Must be able to perform well in stressful situations.
Must possess Professional and Positive attitude.
Available for after hours, weekend and on-call support.
Able to work independently and to exercise initiative with minimal supervision
Ability to work as a proactive, resourceful, cooperative and respectful team member.
Microsoft Certifications - MCSE/MCSA - Windows Server 2000/2003
General experience managing Linux Servers, SAMBA, Apache
General experience with Macintosh equipment and Operating System
Experience with Server hardware products in an Enterprise environment
Must be able to communicate, technically, in English
Responsibilities by % of time:
80% - Client Support/General IT Tasks
10% - General System Administration
10% - Office Network support
