    Omniture Launches User Group Initiative
    Omniture has launched a new regional customer user group program, the firm said this week. Omniture said that it has launched a new program in six major cities across the United States, to allow customers to learn best practices, share ideas and discuss experiences with the firm's web analytics software. The groups are being held in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco and Seattle, and are moderated by Omniture employees. Omniture is a provider of web analytics software for e-commerce sites.

    Omniture Gets Customer Approval
    Orem, Utah-based Omniture, a provider of web analytics software and services, said this week that it has been recognized by Sears, one of its customers. Omniture said that Sears has given the firm a "Partners in Progress" award. Sears provides the recognition to its suppliers and vendors that provide "exemplary service" to the firm. Sears uses Omniture's SiteCatalyst tool to optimize its ecommerce operations.

    Venture capital sends cash to Utah businesses
    The next largest was Omniture Inc. in Orem, which received $40 million in the second quarter. Josh James, Omniture's chief executive officer, said the Web analytics firm's investment will be used to facilitate even more growth at the 10-year-old company.
