Through time-limited flash sales, you can pick up designer brands like Gucci and Prada as well as mid-range brands such as French Connection and Ted Baker for up to 70% off the retail cost.
Usually starting at the crack of dawn, membership sites or private shopping clubs give the illusion you're being let in on an exclusive retail secret to bag luxury brands for a fraction of the high street price.
If you're going to stick with brand loyalty (bah, humbug) then at least we can help ensure you do it the cheapest way....

Tips for shopping safely
Whether it's a retailer or restauranteur, airline or air-conditioner seller, computer shop or car rental company, there are always two main risks. Either it's a dodgy company, or it's a legit company that has financial problems and goes bust.
The aim of these tips is to help you minimise the risks.

What happens if a company goes bust?
Quite simply, its customers are immediately transformed into creditors. This hits hardest if you've ordered goods or tickets from them, and not had delivery, as then you become one of a line of people trying to get your money back out of the company's assets, and you usually get back much less than you paid in.
Even if you've had delivery, if the company you bought from goes under and there's a problem with the goods, it can mean you've no comeback.
While MoneySavingExpert.com endeavours to check deals are valid, we don't check companies' finances. Even huge names like MFI and Woolies have folded, so it's very important you use the right strategies to stay protected where possible.

How do they work?
To give the impression of exclusivity, a range of branded goods e-tailers operate membership clubs. You register for free, then they send alerts for online flash sales lasting 2-6 days. A bit poncy, but it can mean big discounts.
Usually these sites secure items by buying up last season's stock which brands want to shift from their stores to make way for new lines. By promising to sell quickly, they get big discounts. But it can take longer for the goods to be delivered.
Don't assume they're cheapest
With time-limited sales, it's tempting to feel like you're missing out if you don't buy quickly. But don't assume it's the cheapest option. Use the MegaShopBot comparison tool to quickly scour the web. (Sometimes it's not possible to make a comparison as the goods are last season's stock).
For instance, Achica has sold Antler suitcases with "up to 70% off" the retail price. A small teal/grey trolley bag was £47.75, including delivery at Achica, but cost £47.50 direct from Antler (though it cost up to £95 on the high street).
But in another example, Secret Sales offered a women's chunky gold plated Hugo Boss watch for £135. Though it was last season's stock, the same watch was £250 at Goldsmiths, £115 more expensive.
