Supermarket chain Tesco first started trading in 1924, and there are now over 2,300 stores in the UK alone. It offers a range of low price meals and ingredients, as well regular dine-in meal deals.
Below are today's top Tesco discount vouchers, fully checked and verified by our team of voucher hunters. Get 'em while they're hot!
Retailers change policies regularly, so please report any issue - and remember items can be cheaper elsewhere even after the discount (compare prices). See our tips for safer shopping.
Full DOs and DON'Ts
Whether it's a retailer or restaurateur, airline or air-conditioner seller, computer shop or car rental company, there are always two main risks. Either it's a dodgy company, or it's a legit company that has financial problems and goes bust.
The aim of these tips is to help you minimise the risks.
Quite simply, its customers are immediately transformed into creditors. This hits hardest if you've ordered goods or tickets from them, and not had delivery, as then you become one of a line of people trying to get your money back out of the company's assets, and you usually get back much less than you paid in.
Even if you've had delivery, if the company you bought from goes under and there's a problem with the goods, it can mean you've no comeback.
While MoneySavingExpert.com endeavours to check deals are valid, we don't check companies ' finances. Even huge names like MFI and Woolies have folded, so it's very important you use the right strategies to stay protected where possible.
Forumites are loving this offer, which is part of Recycle Week (17 - 23 Jun), an annual event that's now in its 10th year, see the free Tesco Clubcard points thread.
MSE update Thu 6 Jun: Tesco has still not confirmed this offer with us. Currently, we're hearing of MoneySavers hunting for cheap chocolates with mixed success. Let us know on our 1p Thorntons chocolates forum thread if you were successful (or not).
Big chocolates for 1p? Say it isn't so! Well, we think it's so. It's not guaranteed, but we're hearing of some successes.
This looks like a Tesco price glitch, it feels like a Tesco price glitch, but it probably isn't. Read on for why.
How do I get them?
It's pretty simple. Pop into your local Tesco Express and take a look for Thorntons Classic 499g chocolates, which usually cost 13.99 (most seem to have hearts on the box).
Importantly, they're not marked as costing a penny. Some people say they've been marked as discontinued, while others found them at full price.
You'll need to scan them at a checkout to see if they're reduced for you. It could be choccy-woccily fantastic if you do. Please let us know if you find any in our new 1p Thorntons chocolates at Tesco forum thread.
Yet of course, there's no guarantees here, so don't waste petrol on a special effort. We went to two local stores in west London with no luck.
Is this for real?
Sadly we're waiting for Tesco to get back and confirm this (frustratingly it's press office hasn't bothered to return our calls - it seems every little doesn't want to help).
This isn't the first time we've seen 1p things at Tesco - we've reported a mass of giant Toblerones at 1p each before.
Last time we asked Tesco, it told us they were Christmas unsolds.
"Once the festive season is over, we gradually reduce the price until all the stock is sold. We always aim to offer great value, and if customers are lucky enough to find these products still in stock, they really are a bargain.
So our bet is these chocolates are likely to be from Easter or Valentine's Day.
Warning! While the majority of gift cards are valid for two years, it's worth remembering that if the company goes bust or even just into administration then the card becomes effectively worthless. See our section 75 guide for more advice.
Snapfish currently has a code that gets 60% off selected canvas prints, but as delivery's 7.50, it's cheaper to buy from Tesco Photo.
